The purpose of this study was to verify the view of state public school tea chers on the conditionings unfavorable to their performance and on the conditionings of student achievement in Prova Brasil. Seven schools participated in the research, from which three with high achievement and four with low achievement. For data collection, two questionnaires were applied to teachers. For the analysis of the quantitative data, the EncuestaFácil was used and for the analysis of the qualitative data, the technique of content analysis. The study revealed significant positive relationship between teacher stability at the same school and student high achievement, as well as unfavorable conditionings to teacher effective performance and favorable and unfavorable conditionings to student high achievement.
