Abstract

ANJOS, Cristiane Rêgo dos  and  CRUZ, Rosana Evangelista da. Public-private partnerships in the educational context: expansion in discussion. Roteiro. UNOESC [online]. 2017, vol.42, n.2, pp.281-310. ISSN 2177-6059.  https://doi.org/10.18593/r.v42i2.13265.

The study aims to discuss the expansion of public-private partnerships in education, focusing on the links established between the Municipal Department of Education in Teresina, PI, and civil society organizations for the provision of education policies. The discussion begins with the reconfiguration of management of public education in Brazil, resulting from the State reform, in dialogue with authors such as Ball and Youdell (2008), Adrião et al. (2009), among others. The methodological course of the research comprised a qualitative approach and documentary analysis. The results showed that public-private partnerships in education are in a process of expansion and strengthening, as well as signaling a trend towards exogenous privatization of education, with the insertion of private education policies in municipal public education.
