Abstract

The text analyzes the policies of teacher training in Brazil in its develop ments and recommendations from international organizations. It is the result of bi bliographical and documentary research, in the light of theoretical and legal fra meworks that subsidize reflections about the priorities, orientations and government programs that underlie teacher training. Among the main results, it is worth noting: educational reforms follow the recommendations of international organizations; The current educational policies reaffirm the centrality of the training for the / in the teaching practice; The training programs are related to the nature of the teaching functions and the training institutions act as mechanisms to meet the demands of pro ductive and performative processes from the global logic.
