Abstract

This article comparatively analyzes the central lines of the political strategies carried out in Brazil and Argentina by PT and Kirchnerism between 2003 and 2015/16. In particular, special attention is paid to the logics they displayed in their attempt to dispute the hegemony of neoliberalism. This analysis was carried out based on the distinction between two logics in the construction of the hegemony formulated by Ernesto Laclau, although incorporating some reformulations of my own. Thereby, these political processes were interpreted according to the importance of “administrativist” or “agonal” logic in the ways in which each force tried to build hegemony.
