Abstract: In this article, the focus was on the district territory of Mazagão Velho, located in the municipality of Mazagão, state of Amapá, as an Afroamapaense museum space, in view of its historical and cultural relevance, as a stronghold of black men and black women who protect their cultural/religious heritage from erasure and oblivion, which resist time and conform the social geography of the community. The methodology used was guided by a theoretical-bibliographic study and based on semi-structured interviews, addressed to eight cultural guardians, four women and four men. One concluded that culture, memory and territoriality, in an educational and heritage perspective, signalize to be a community action and didactic-pedagogical strategic resource to safeguard the cultural heritage in/of the community.
