Abstract

MOURA, Eliana P.G.  and  ZUCCHETTI, Dinora Tereza. Educação não escolar, universidades e educação popular: horizonte de novos desafios. Educação. UNISINOS [online]. 2009, vol.13, n.02, pp.125-134. ISSN 2177-6210.

This article discusses the practices of non-scholastic education that have developed on the sidelines of formal production spaces of knowledge and through an on-the-job training that, in general, devoids of a systematic process of reflection, and it collectively, incorporates a sense linked to mechanical task plan. However, the non-scholastic education is gaining visibility and in recent years we have seen approximation movements between universities and the experiences that extrapolate he scholastic education - the socio educational interventions - that takes place within social movements in non-governmental organizations, in groups of production associated, etc. Among these practices and higher education the on-the-job training is still the preferred model of training for educators, with its limits and possibilities. In this article, we approach this scenario, considering the mediation of research to contribute to a discussion that pressures the approximation between non-scholastic education and popular education.

Keywords : Non-Scholastic Education; Popular Education; Superior Tuition.
