Abstract

PETIT, Thomas Louis Yvon  and  SANTOS, Gilberto Lacerda. Interconnections between education and smartphone: A contextual framework, from mobile to nomadic learning. Educação. UNISINOS [online]. 2016, vol.20, n.3, pp.309-318. ISSN 2177-6210.  https://doi.org/10.4013/edu.2016.203.04.

In this paper we present the synthesis of a bibliographical research whose main objective was to identify a conceptual and pedagogical consistency of mobile learning. This emerging object of study, which we explore in design and development research as part of a doctoral thesis, was theoretically substantiated with pedagogical ideals defended by Freire and Dewey. The synthesis is developed around three axes: consideration of everyday life of learners' environments, democratization and freedom given to learners in the design of their learning experiences, and intercommunication and collaboration in community. From these results we suggest the development of nomadic learning as a specific line of mobile learning research and practice, representative of the need to connect education with networked nomadism. This connection is illustrated at the end of the article with the proposal of a contextual framework for nomadic learning.
