Abstract

SOUSA, Fabiana Rodrigues de. Freire’s legacy, feminisms and prostitution: Unveiling of the politician-pedagogic in research in education. Educação. UNISINOS [online]. 2018, vol.22, n.4, pp.324-333.  Epub May 17, 2019. ISSN 2177-6210.  https://doi.org/10.4013/edu.2018.224.10.

In this article, I discuss the political-pedagogical dimension of research in education, using contributions from the Freire’s legacy, feminist studies and the reflections on researches developed in dialogue with prostitutes. Aware of the tensions between these fields of knowledge, I make connections between them, arguing that this approximation proves fecund in favor of overcoming the antinomy: popular knowledge vs. scientific knowledge, (inter) subjectivity vs. objectivity, and questioning universalizing systems that characterize modern science, as well as some feminist perspectives. I also argue that the dialogue between the contributions of the Freire’s legacy and feminist studies corroborates the construction of a critical and popular science based on the development of problematizing researches capable to make visible the multiplicity of experiences, knowledges and demands of women prostitutes.

Keywords : intersubjectivity; dialogue; feminisms; prostitution.
