In the context of digital technologies and the popularization of applications, the objective of the paper is to investigate whether a group on WhatsApp®, composed of English teachers, from the elementary school (last degrees), from municipal public schools, in Feira de Santana, is configured as a space for the extension of continuing education that took place in 2018. The methodology used was qualitative, descriptive and analytical, inspired by netnography, based on the export and analysis of narrative records produced by the group of teachers. With this study we could conclude that there is a

growing engagement of teachers with the sharing of content and that they use the information contained in this online group for their professional development and, consequently, for changes in their pedagogical practices.
