This study aims to investigate the movements of responsibilization educational politics in Pernambuco, arguing through different needs and statements that appear in modernization project. The post structuralist discursive theoretical framework used during the research. After reading and analysing the data using educational politics documents, we problematized the displacements of meanings that are hegemony in the production of curriculum policy linked to an accountability speech. By investigating the meanings that enable hegemony and meaning of accountability educational politics, the research data reveal that association of modernization and accountability concepts are exposed in politics as a new value, naturalized, qualified to be pursued in public management. So the accountability politics act as a surface for writing concepts composed by narratives that goes from modernization to safety narrative, quality assurance, equity and performance patterns, observing different meanings for the idea of crises in educational system.
