Abstract

ANDRADE, Maria Eurácia Barreto de  and  FREITAS, Gilsélia Macedo Cardoso. YOUNG, ADULT AND ELDERLY LITERACY IN DIALOGUE WITH PAULO FREIRE: AN EXPERIENCE IN TIMES OF PANDEMIC. Práx. Educ. [online]. 2021, vol.17, n.47, pp.218-237.  Epub Feb 18, 2022. ISSN 2178-2679.  https://doi.org/10.22481/praxisedu.v17i47.9431.

This article deals with an account of experiences in teaching in higher education, in remote learning format, with the optional curricular component called “Dialogues on Literacy for Young, Adults and Elderly”, through the Google Meet platform, whose proposal was drawn from the thought, life and works of Paulo Freire. Among so many relevant actions of the component, marked by rich reflections and collaborative problematizations, we highlight those that we consider most significant for this experienceAll the moments announced here were forged by the dialogue guideline from the perspective of building solidary knowledge in which the teaching-learning process took place in a concomitant and qualified way. Finally, we highlight the importance of the narratives of the participating subjects, in a movement aimed at problematizing the experience and the persistent effort to carry out a dialogic, humanizing and liberating education.

Keywords : Literacy; Youth; Adults and Elderly; Paulo Freire..
