Abstract

MACIEL, Eloisa Antunes  and  UHMANN, Rosangela Inês Matos. ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION AND THE PERSPECTIVES OF CURRICULUM THEORIES: A LOOK AT THE COMMON NATIONAL CURRICULAR BASE. Práx. Educ. [online]. 2022, vol.18, n.49, e10427.  Epub July 04, 2023. ISSN 2178-2679.  https://doi.org/10.22481/praxisedu.v18i49.10427.

In this article, we carried out an investigation on the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) of High School with a focus on Environmental Education (EA), using the descriptor: "ambient", to observe how environmental aspects are present in the BNCC, in attention to the approximation of theories curricula. As a result, we obtained 63 words related to the descriptor, however, there was a sample of 22 words (in the respective excerpts). Of these excerpts, 11 leaned towards the traditional perspective, eight towards the criticism and three towards the post-criticism. We conclude that the majority perspective was the traditional one, making us understand that it is necessary to go further, also contemplating criticism and post-criticism in the curriculum, because the BNCC has a lack of EA. Therefore, the idea of this research is to expand the knowledge of the BNCC in the search for alternatives for inserting EA in a transversal way in the curriculum, after observing that it does not include in quantity or quality the potentiating function of the EA.

Keywords : BNCC; curriculum; environmental education; teaching of the sciences..
