Abstract

FACANHA, Luciano da Silva; LEITE, José Assunção Fernandes  and  CARVALHO, Hernani Veloso. The refutation of the poetic representation on rational structuring of city. Conjectura: filos. e Educ. [online]. 2017, vol.22, n.1, pp.32-51. ISSN 2178-4612.  https://doi.org/10.18226/2178461222103.

This article aims to identify first the unfolding of rationality in the myths of the time in which the cities arise as new forms of social grouping. Then, it also, the formulation of the concept of justice as an ideal structure for the consolidation of the Republic, whereas, in consequence, the demand for an educational reform that would occur from the philosophical critique of the poet's figure as Representative omniscient knowledge whose ambivalent language has been overlooked from the reference of truth according to Plato. This understanding, we turn to studies on authors such as Vernant (2009), Havelock (1996), Matos (2001) and other authors who may contribute to the understanding of the concepts of politics and aesthetics in Plato. This article may be a help in the research field of analysis which specifically identifies with education, politics, ethics and aesthetics, without aiming to end up, however, the debate concerning this subject.
