The purpose of this study is to demonstrate an interpretation in which the concept of recognition, as approached by Axel Honneth through Hegel's work, is key in the process of determining the Freedom in the work of Hegel. Therefore, it is necessary to go beyond the borders traditionally conceived, which links the concept of recognition to the Master-Slave Dialectic in Phenomenology. Since Honneth works are based on the writings of young Hegel prior to this first famous work it is possible to go beyond such boundaries. The connection of recognition and Freedom is possible by trying to reedit Philosophy of Law (2010) honnethian, which its objective is to lay the foundations of a theory of justice.
