Abstract

AMORIM, Filipi Vieira  and  CALLONI, Humberto. On the concept of amorosity in Paulo Freire. Conjectura: filos. e Educ. [online]. 2017, vol.22, n.2, pp.380-392. ISSN 2178-4612.  https://doi.org/10.18226/21784612.v22.n2.9.

This work is a philosophical contextualization that permeates the limits and borders of the reductionist thinking: that subdivides and excludes the human subjectivity on behalf of the rationalist objectivity. We go back to the presupposition that both subjectivity and objectivity are legitimate sources of thought and human action and, in this sense, primary sources of moral reconnection between the self and the other. To look into the concept of amorosity in Paulo Freire (1921-1997) is to refer to the discussion about ethics as an ontological field for the relations between humans, and humans and between humans and non-humans. The proposal that tangency this study have as main goal the understanding of the amorosity concept and its developments inside and outside Freire's pedagogy, especially on ethos and on the practical rationality, in this contemporaneity. It aims to offer a few reflections on the sense and feel of the amorosity as a way of reception of the other in the self, a possibility of recognizing one's self in the other.
