Abstract

Objective: The objective of this article is to invest in a critical and reflexive approach about the contribution of some contemporary philosophers, regarding the valorization of the rational use and use of food, avoiding waste. Method: This is a descriptive reflection structured in four sections. Conclusion: Since decades, there have already been warnings about the rational use of natural resources and food wastage, and Brazil being a major producer of tropical fruits worldwide, using peels, seeds and fruit stalks for the production of alternative foods and is a good alternative to minimize environmental impacts and hunger.
