Analyzea concept like Substance is, by it self, get into the heart of metaphysics.When this conceptliesin the corpus aristotelicum, the taskgains another dimensionbecause it impliesa combined readingofhis major works, namely: Categories and Metaphysics. This combined readingraises immediately many problems: the authenticity of the works, the articulation between oftheir own books, and above all, the fundamental question: if it is possible to makesuch areading. The purpose ofthis study is todo it, leading us toa necessaryand decisivedisassembly of the concept in such problematic contexts. Finally, as we realize from this analysisit can be seen that the meaning ofsubstancewould open for a model that would persist for centuries.
