Abstract

AMORIM, Filipi Vieira  and  PIRES, Arthur Freire Simões. Camusian existenciality and identity in Two And A Half Men. Conjectura: filos. e Educ. [online]. 2023, vol.28, e023006. ISSN 2178-4612.  https://doi.org/10.18226/21784612.v28.e023006.

In an essayistic tone, the piece approaches the identity issue (HALL, 2015, 2019) associated to the absurd, as it was written by Albert Camus (2007), starting from the analysis of the Two and a Half Men tv show, specifically the sitcom tenth episode from season six. The fluidity and complexity that permeate the constitution of identity were discussed based on the recognition of the absurdity of human existence. Based on theoretical elements from sociology, philosophy and dramaturgy fields, the discussion offers a reflexive contribution capable of broadening the understanding horizon about the subject notions in the globalized scenario that marks the contemporaneity.

Keywords : Identity; Absurd; Albert Camus; Existenciality.
