This research examines Foucault's interpretation of Kant, focusing on the complexity of the relations between philosophical work, in general, and the concrete world. The scope of the article is delimited by this analysis of Foucault, especially on two texts by Kant: What is Enlightenment? and Anthropology from a Pragmatic Point of View. The possibility of accessing a space prior to any specific ethical orientation is investigated. Thus, this previous space differs from the set of ethical elaborations of the philosophical tradition. Firstly, the different possible positions assumed by philosophers in their work concerning the concrete world are highlighted. It then demonstrates the existence of a latent ambiguity in philosophical work, which allows us to conclude that there is the possibility of a prior space of understanding the philosopher in relation to history. All these elements are presented through the analysis conducted by Foucault.
