WANDERER, Fernanda  e  FALEIRO, Betina Wiebusch. National Common Curricular Base and the constitution of the managerial teacher. Conjectura: filos. e Educ. [online]. 2024, vol.29, e024022. ISSN 2178-4612.  https://doi.org/10.18226/21784612.v29.e024022.

The article problematizes the implementation of the National Common Curricular Base in Basic Education. It is the result of research whose general objective was to examine the effects produced by the implementation of the National Common Curricular Base in teaching in the Early Years of Elementary Education in private schools in a municipality in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The theoretical bases that supported this investigation are linked to the concept-tool that Michel Foucault called governmentality, supported by contributions from poststructuralist authors. The empirical material consists of statements by ten educators about their school practices, mobilized by the implementation of the National Common Curricular Base in the institutions in which they worked, in the 2020 school year. These statements were obtained through individual interviews that were subsequently transcribed in their entirety. The analytical strategy used to operate on this material was discourse analysis, as proposed by Michel Foucault. The results found show the possibility of constituting a new teacher, whose craft is now reduced to learning and teaching skills and competencies with an interest in “know-how”, transforming it into a technique that reproduces pedagogical packages to meet the demands of neoliberal society. In this bias, the way of being a teacher generated by the effectiveness of the National Common Curricular Base can be thought of as a subject incited to be flexible to educational managerialism that, having taken away the possibility of knowing, planning, tracing objectives, defining contents and choosing methodologies, corroborates the destruction of ethical and professional systems that should prevail in schools, contributing to their replacement by competitive business systems.
