Abstract

WAIMAN, David  and  RODRIGUEZ, Gerardo Fabián. Feudalism in the Argentine textbooks: its historiographical approach (1999 - 2006). Acta Educ. [online]. 2019, vol.41, e48087.  Epub Sep 01, 2019. ISSN 2178-5201.  https://doi.org/10.4025/actascieduc.v41i1.48087.

Feudalism is a key issue when explaining the Middle Ages in the Argentine school today and always. In the framework of a national educational reform that comes to cause changes in the contents and teaching methods within the curricular designs, we observe that in the classroom practice and, especially in the school manuals used as historical sources, this is with traditional ideology, resist the novel changes and maintain explanations of this core issue characterized by the historiographic archaism, the memorism and the indefinitions. In short, they reinforce a school culture and a school discipline, History, with a strong imprint in the political - institutional vision of the subject to be studied.

Keywords : texts books; feudalism; school disciplines; historiographic archaism.
