The present paper investigates the main discussions and actions carried out along the creation of Architecture and Urbanism courses in Brazil, conducted by Teaching Institutions and Governmental and Associative Entities involved with the educational question, with special attention to the analysis of the strategies and propositions to experimental practices and to improving the teaching of Technology of Construction. This research was developed from the triangulation of data obtained in different bibliographical and documentary sources and by the analysis of 21 Pedagogical Projects of public schools of Architecture and Urbanism implanted in different historical periods and in different regions of the country, besides interviews and technical visits. The results made it possible to understand the different variables that influence the structuring to the field of Technology of Construction, something that is not limited to the theoretical plan of Pedagogical Projects, they embrace a broader dimension, such as political, educational, structural and socioeconomic aspects.
