The dissemination and transfer of knowledge are primary functions of universities. University Pedagogical Museums (MPU is the acronym in Portuguese) must accomplish this dissemination activity. We descriptively report how this kind of museum reaches such historical and educational goal, so that the public values educational heritage. However, despite the efforts, it remains a pending challenge to offer society more informal scientific culture.
