BERTO, Rosianny Campos y LAUFF, Rafaelle Flaiman. PROCESSES OF IN-SERVICE TRAINING IN THE CONTEXT OF PEDAGOGICAL INNOVATION: THE ROLE OF TEACHERS FROM ESPÍRITO SANTO (1928-1937). Hist. Educ. [online]. 2024, vol.28, e137700. Epub 31-Dic-2024. ISSN 2236-3459. https://doi.org/10.1590/2236-3459/137700.
This text aims to understand the processes of in-service training, highlighting the role of women in educational reform initiatives based on the new school approach in Espírito Santo, from 1928 to 1937. This period was marked by the implementation of the Higher Course of Pedagogical Culture (CSCP) and the holding of the Pedagogical Improvement Congress (CAP). The study uses sources such as government reports and messages, newspapers, school inspection reports, and the Espírito Santo Education Journal, analyzed in an indicative manner (GINZBURG, 2003). The work considers that the investigation of the processes of in-service training and the professional performance of teachers who attended the CSCP contributes to problematizing not only the role of women in Capixaba education but, on a broader scale, the processes, and policies of teacher training that, in the early decades of the 20th century, aimed to expand and "modernize" public education in Espírito Santo.
