This text presents the problematizações from a doctoral research in education developed at the Federal University of São Carlos-UFSCar. This is a survey of the ethnographic type held by the remaining quilombos community of Agrovila, in the city of Alcântara-MA which aimed to understand what is mathematical practices constituted manifest as mathematical language in use in work activities and survival of members of that community, decoding the effects of senses and meanings deployed on them. Proposes to discuss the issues of philosophy of Wittgenstein, especially that of language games, to try and understand how this notion can be presented in studies in mathematics education. On the analysis of mathematical practices, based on the action of empaneirar manioc flour, sought to highlight the interactions and influences of language posts in the sociocultural environment usages which develop from their daily activities and interactions produced between the mathematical language games and the senses and meanings produced by members of the community for the same produce as element that allow them to ensure survival through your work.
