This article presents the results of a master´s research that had as objective to analyze differences and similarities of the relations of power present in the daily routine of school management with positions provided by politican-partisan indication and direct election of the community. The methodology used was qualitative research using observation, semi-estructured interviews and a focus group with the management team of six municipal schools in Alagoas. The study is referenced in Crus Neto (2013, 2014), Foucault (2009, 1979), Luck (2005; 2007), Mendonça (2001), Paro (2003) and Verçosa (2006) among other researchers. The data analyzed allow us to state that the quotidian of the schools surveyed, both in the election and in the nomination, present, even in different degrees, marks of party-political interference in the management, demonstrating the need for a greater strengthening of democratic management mechanisms.
