Abstract

SOUZA, Alana Cruz de; SOARES, Denisia Brito  and  ROCHA, Alexsandro Silvestre da. An experimental didactic alternative for geometric optical classes. Rev. Exitus [online]. 2019, vol.9, n.3, pp.280-308.  Epub Apr 17, 2020. ISSN 2237-9460.  https://doi.org/10.24065/2237-9460.2019v9n3id921.

Physics can be considered a fundamental science that studies the natural phenomena, describing and explaining the world where we live. The study of this science in Brazil originated in the colonial era, where Aristotelian Physics was studied. The challenge today is to win the interest of elementary school students with the discipline of physics taught in the school network, based excessively on content and calculations, with little or no experimentation, making it unattractive and monotonous. Here we show the development and application of an paradidactic material innovative, thought and made like educational product denominated "Experimental Paradidactic Book" (LPE). This material aimed at the teaching of Physics incorporates in its structure the book format with built-in physical experiments, in this case focused on experimentation in Geometric Optics. The developed material serves as an educational/experimental support in the absence of laboratories, very common among Brazilian schools. The LPE developed was applied to secondary school students (EM) at a school in the city of Araguaína-TO, showing great acceptance among the volunteers of the research. This idea can be diversified and produced with different themes of physics, other sciences or even focused on other levels of schooling.

Keywords : Paradidactic Materials; Physics Experimentation; Physics Teaching.
