Abstract

This article discusses trajectories of school success, through the extension of the studies of people coming from rural schools. These are school trajectories permeated with challenges and confrontations of the social life adversities from countryside to reach the prolonged levels of studies, specifically master’s and doctoral degrees (Stricto Sensu). We approach aspects related to life in the countryside and to the schools where the subjects had studied, highlighting the teaching form, the learning experiences, the social relations in the classroom, amid the challenges, the perspectives and the intrinsic and extrinsic motivations to continue the studies in higher education.

Keywords : Rural school; School trajectory; Extension of studies.
