Abstract

This paper aims to discuss school educational innovation concept as part of the confrontation and solution to structural and complex problems in school and society. Empirically, the main reference for this paper was the Diversity Seminar entitled “Breaking the taboo”, which took place at Casa Escola da Pesca (CEPE), Belém, Pará, Amazônia, Brazil, in 2017. This meeting was selected as an event sample and it provided the empirical corpus that contributed to discuss about the subject. The event in question objectively demonstrated what can be theoretically read as innovative educational action, since it was effectively done in a planned way. This action promoted discussions about management of structural complex problems in school and society where the subjects of educational system are located.
