The article presents the results of the research on Teacher Identity: Representations of Teachers in riverine narratives of Quianduba River in Abaetetuba. The objective was to analyze the representations of Teachers built and transmitted in the orality of this community, considering the relation with the teaching practice in the school’s daily routine. The community of the Quianduba River in the Municipality of Abaetetuba, Pará, was adopted as a locus of investigation. The conceptual bases of the research followed the orientations and approaches of theoreticians such as Ciampa, Arroyo and Nóvoa, with which we sustain the discussions and analyzes on identity and representation; Williams is used as reference in order to work on the conception of culture as a way of producing existence. The research methodology was based on the conceptions and orientations of the Dialectical and Historical Materialism, with Field Research execution and the use of oral narratives as source of investigation.
