Abstract

PRATES, Shirly Inglecia Silva  and  SOARES, Maria Rosangela. STUDY OF FLUIDS IN UPPER ELEMENTARY EDUCATION: Application of the Three Pedagogical Moments with Concept Maps. Rev. Exitus [online]. 2025, vol.15, e025015.  Epub June 12, 2025. ISSN 2237-9460.  https://doi.org/10.24065/re.v15i1.2778.

Physics studies natural phenomena and is essential in the school curriculum from the early years of elementary education. Thus, there is a need to seek strategies that go beyond mechanical teaching, promoting skills such as reasoning and creativity, stimulating students to be protagonists of their own learning. This study investigates the use of Concept Maps as a facilitating strategy for teaching Fluid Physics, employing the Three Pedagogical Moments methodology with 8th and 9th-grade students. The study was conducted over fifteen meetings with 25 students and involved constructing concept maps that were part of a Scientific Exhibition held at the project's conclusion. The results suggest that the methodology promoted meaningful learning, engaging students in a collaborative and meaningful environment.
