Abstract

The study analyses the Educação Physica magazine based on its editorial formula creating an archeology of the circular, when the investigation is mainly focuses on the its critical instrument, editorial devices used by the editors for a greater control on the manipulation ways and periodical uses. It aims at seeing the circular as device of standardization of practice, intervention and the imposing of pedagogical models for the nascent school subject Physical Education, in the thirties. This way, the paper works with the hypothesis that the critical instrument study of a certain circular is, just like the associated content itself, important for the understanding of an editorial project, the representations and knowledge in circulation.
