Having in mind that the field of History of Education has amplified its investigative range in order to comprehend topics underlying schooling, this study presents a survey of researches that have been developed about Lutheranism, parish schools, rites of passage and the Lutheran confirmation to build a state of the art which served as reference for a research made within the context of a master’s degree. The surveys were made from database websites and electronic magazines about History of Education. The intertwining of themes such as schooling and Lutheran religiosity demonstrated, thus, effective to understand the educative elements that engage the Pomeranian ethnic group as well as for the development of the bigger research.
