Abstract

The object of study of this work are the first nursery schools in the city of Cádiz, their moment of implantation, the number of centers that were opened, conditions of the buildings that host them and circumstances in which the teaching staff developed their work. I attended to them. In this sense, an attempt has been made to unravel historical events from a social perspective that explains not only their creation but also frames it in the context that motivated them. The method used was the historiography, understood as a scientific procedure in the social sciences by which the past is interpreted beyond the subjectivity of the researcher, the one usually used in historical-educational research.
