Abstract

PAES, Milena Veneziano  and  RAMOS, Géssica Priscila. O programa “São Paulo faz escola” e seu modelo de gestão tutelada*. Rev. Comunic [online]. 2014, vol.21, n.2, pp.53-66. ISSN 2238-121X.  https://doi.org/10.15600/2238-121X/comunicacoes.v21n2p53-66.

The aim of this paper is to present the management model found in the creation and implementation of the “São Paulo Faz Escola” program, approaching its similarities with the management model strengthened in Brazil from year 1995 on. The program consists of a new educational curriculum proposal developed and implemented in 2008 by the State Department of Education of São Paulo (SP-ESS) for state public schools. It covers the curricular content and the learning expectations for Cycle II of elementary school and high school, spreading its educational vision to all schools of the public network. The literature review and desk research evidenced this curriculum policy’s intense planning, definition, and assessment of curricular actions. However, its implementation was left to the responsibility of the network’s school units, specifically to teachers. Thus, we see that this educational policy follows a similar approach to that of the decentralized and supervised process deepened from the mid-1990s, when the country was being restructured and a new social pact was being established.
