Abstract

BLANCO, MARIA AMÉLIA TEIXEIRA  and  ORLANDO, ROSIMEIRE MARIA. A research on special education in Anped. an epistemological analysis of the WG 15 papers (2008 -2012). Rev. Comunic [online]. 2015, vol.22, n.1, pp.197-209. ISSN 2238-121X.  https://doi.org/10.15600/2238-121X/comunicacoes.v22n1p197-209.

This article focuses on the epistemology of research in papers published by the Special Education Work Group of the National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Education (Anped), from 2008 to 2012. The general objective was to analyze how epistemological aspects are configured according to Gamboa’s classification (2008), and taken in this study as our object of analysis. Studies of this nature are working on the philosophical foundations of the scientific work, since different methodological procedures depend on epistemological choices and therefore different forms of representation of reality. This research was based on a literature review, and papers were selected under the influence of the National Policy on Special Education in the Perspective of Inclusive Education (BRASIL, 2008). In 52 analyzed studies, 36 adopted the phenomenological hermeneutic approach, 16 chose the critical-dialectical approach, and no one adopted the empiricalanalytic one. These results were analyzed in light of Gamboa’s theoretical and philosophical orientations (2008).
