Resumen

FERREIRA, ISABELLA FERNANDA. Adorno and pseudo-synthesis: a “look” at the Perrenoud’s Theory of Cycles. Rev. Comunic [online]. 2015, vol.22, n.3, pp.87-102. ISSN 2238-121X.  https://doi.org/10.15600/2238-121X/comunicacoes.v22n3p87-102.

The article “Adorno and pseudo-synthesis: a ‘look’ at the Perrenoud’s theory of cycles” brings one of the reflections flagged in the study entitled “The learning cycles in Perrenoud: a theoretical and critical analysis”, that had as purpose analyzing, through negative dialectic method of the Frankfurt School, the theory of Philippe Perrenoud, author of learning cycles that influenced the understanding of cycles in Brazil from the nineties. Perrenoud set out to theorize about how the learning cycles should materialize in pedagogical practice and organizational structure in schools as a proposal to overcome the social phenomenon commonly called school failure. In this sense, the text presents one of the analysis – related to the research mentioned above – about the proposal of Philippe Perrenoud’s learning cycles, with the aid of the reflections of the theorists of the Frankfurt School – especially – Adorno –, through his negative dialectical method, structured in the following captions: “A beginning of conversation”; “The theory of learning cycles in the guise of a progress myth: a pseudo-synthesis” and lastly, “Small notes”. We hope to contribute to the analysis of our object in view of Critical Theory.

Palabras clave : NEGATIVE DIALECTIC METHOD; THEORY OF LEARNING CYCLES; PERRENOUD; ADORNO; PSEUDO-SYNTHESIS.
