Some of the policies incorporated in the Federal Government are intended to remedy issues of homophobia in the school environment. The Federal Program Brazil “WithoutHomophobia”was launched by the Special Secretariat for Human Rights (SEDH) in 2004, through the National Council for Combating Discrimination (CNCD). This program aims to combat violence and discrimination against LGBT citizens and promote homosexual, questioning issues related to homosexuality in all Government Ministries and propose policies that enjoy this population in various spheres, including education. Under these policies, was established in Campinas-SP a school focused on LGBT public, called E-Young. The current research project focuses on the investigation of the reality experienced by the students of this school, in order to verify the possible transformations in both personal (learning, freedom, among others) and in the collective on combating homophobia. Data collection will take place in two stages: conducted participant observation in the school environment, then a field diary initiallybewas conducted. Preliminary results indicate that assert themselves gay or lesbian is to say, at first, that does not live according to the natural and conventional, which will experience a new form of marriage and family, than expected by parents, uncles, grandparents, etc. Who assumes homosexual expected support, love, acceptance and respect, it is clear that yearning by the students. Coming out gay is risking becoming alien, the uncloaked himself, going to life to fight for his own survival.
