In order to discuss what the actual impact on the teacher professionalization, included in the Institutional Scholarship Program Introduction to Teaching (Pibid), this study launched to characterize the possibilities and challenges of continuing education offered by Pibid supervisors teacher program area. Were the study participants 112 supervisor’s area of different projects and higher education institutions in the state of Minas Gerais. For the collection of information was made available an online questionnaire containing questions that investigated positive and still hindering the program in consideration of continuing education. Through qualitative analysis of the responses, it was possible to categorize the program positivities impact on the theoretical and methodological review of practicing teachers, as well as leverage the practice of research and investigation into/from school everyday. However, as the challenges can be triggered one of the program’s shortcomings is be in the middle ground of the university and the school, without being effectively covered in curricular analysis of the courses, or is within the full set of school, that does not seem to change effectively, the dichotomous format that historically support the training and teaching activities in the country.
