The aim of this study was to understand the process of rehabilitation of people with acquired blindness in the school system (secondary and higher education) in Brazil, and to evaluate the return time to school activities, accessibility, and more resources used to access the educational material. Thus, very little research on the process of educational reintegration of people with visual impairment, since surveys exist, focus on curriculum adaptation, the education access barriers and lack of preparation of teachers to deal with this public. The study is qualitative, using the quasi-experimental method and the differential approach. Data were collected by assessing the patterns of responses obtained through interviews (forms), with reading and comparing the answers to find similarities and/or differences, analyzing the responses of qualitatively and quantitatively, with reference to literature raised about. As a result, we reached the conclusion that the reactions are different, all in its creation, physical condition and social environment influenced in their decisions and school life. Although only three of the four pointing difficulties and not finding facilities, these overcame obstacles and went to higher education, while the fourth finished high school.
