Abstract

It has become common the fact the difficulty of college students to appropriate academic language to the development of legitimate work in the university environment. Therefore, universities have created programs and disciplines in an attempt to minimize the deficit with not only the appropriation of scientific discourse, but of basic difficulties of the mother tongue. Considering this scenario, this paper, the result of a doctoral research, aims to analyze strategies that undergraduate students have used to produce Final Paper genre. For this, we will analyze a Final Paper developed by a group of senior students of a course in Business Administration from a private college in the Campinas region. The analysis will be based on theoretical and methodological of the theory of enunciation and the principles of the French line of discourse analysis. We believe that our analysis may foster reflections on the need for more research geared to academic writing.
