Abstract

This paper presents a reading of education and teaching in Marxism originating from literature. It took as a reference the writings of Marx and Engels incipient about school educational issue and tried to infer, by a Gramscian interpretation, the characteristic features of a project of human development. Paths are seen as elements of Marxian educational proposals the notion of education as immanent to be the social production process, the adoption of the work as an educational principle and the class struggle perspective. At the end, it is synthesized the debate on the terminologies that identify such proposals.
