Abstract

QUIROGA, Fernando Lionel  and  COVIC, Amália Neide. A problematization about the teacher’s role in hospital environment: divergence and convergence between hospital and school institutions. Rev. Educ. e Cult. Contemp. [online]. 2018, vol.15, n.40, pp.92-114.  Epub Apr 22, 2017. ISSN 2238-1279.  https://doi.org/10.5935/2238-1279.20180049.

The purpose of this essay was to discuss the teachers role in hospital process of schooling. Our effort focused on the debate about the relationship of this professional work space in a different institution (the hospital) than the one responsible for his formation process (the school). Our analysis was based on the main points of convergence discussed in the relevant literature, especially regarding the key issues outlined in this professional's exercise. Our intention was to relate these points of convergence to the demands of teachers working in the hospital. The theoretical composition of our argument was based on the concept of action, created by Hannah Arendt (2007). Finally, we discuss the idea of interface between the two institutions involved in schooling at hospitals, that is, the hospital and the school. That argument is what allowed us to reflect on the teachers' exercise, not as a chimera-school hospital, but as an unfinished space that is constructed while the history itself.

Keywords : Teacher's formation; Hospital; School; Institution.
