Abstract

The article presents a part of the qualitative research results in mathematics education. In this research we analyze scientific works that were selected for presenting contributions to the understanding and advancement of the Youth and Adult Education. To select the data we take as a basis the constant journals Qualis list (CAPES / MEC), belonging to the area of the teaching of science and mathematics in the 2000-2010 period. The analysis, developed through Textual Analysis Discourse, allowed us to establish four themes: I) Training / Practice Teacher / literacy of adult education; II) Pedagogical Practices in adult education; III) Resumes the EJA, and IV) Evaluation of / in EJA. In this article we highlight the Theme II. Among the key findings convergence check for the indication of a more investigative approach by the teacher on the speaking and writing of their students. Adoption of greater flexibility in the standardization requirement in the expression of mathematical procedures. Consideration of the specifics, previous goals and level of their students. It also highlights the applicant's argument that the perception of the student himself of his understanding of the contents developed in the educational practices in mathematics and increases their self-esteem directly influences their involvement in this area.
