Abstract This reflection begins with the existence of a new phenomenon, the cyber culture, which gives a new space for reading, with tools that allow the construction of new practices, interfering and modifying the formation of the reader in process. On-line reading is the subject of this article, which main goal is to comprehend and discuss the signs that stand out on those reading practices to bring up questions and reflections over new technologies that  emerge on the social context and specially, the scholar one.
