Abstract In the wide amazonic universe, we direct our attention to the community of Guariba, located in the extreme northeast of Mato Grosso, a small region inhabitated by a mixing of ethnicities and social groups. Inscribed in the project “Biodiesel Guariba”, a covenant between “Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso (UFMT)” and “Eletronorte”. Our main target has been creating opportunities of environmental responsabilities and communitary social empowerment inside an educational formation process. Inscribed in the phenomology, in this article our effort is centered in presenting the perception of this community related to the educational process established in their territory.

Keywords : Environmental Education; Amazon Rain Forest and Perception.
