Abstract The conceptual matrix of the scientific work by Agostinho da Silva, philosopher and pedagogue, is essentially educational. All the texts are crossed by de same sense: the compromise with the life, with de humanity and with the human. For Agostinho da Silva, the humanism and the universalism are signaled by the singular art of to say and to make the education. I desire to elevate these aspects, on the convergence with the discourse that, in 1968, he has expressed in the Parliament, in Brasilia. He suggested that the University of Brasilia will be a Normal School of the Universities, in order to receive and to form students from all Brazil. These students should be the teachers of the others universities.
