Resumen

This work is part of a doctorate thesis (PIRES, 2008), which aimed to know, analyze and explain the contradictions, harmonies, correspondences and differences existing between the initial training of university researcher professors, held by the PIBIC/CNPq/UNEB Program, and the professional practice of their egresses. Results are presented of eight interviews with these egresses, intentionally chosen for their condition of High Education teachers and making research. The empirical categories which emerge from these speeches were treated by the theory of dialectical-historical materialism and studies about High Education, allowing to understand the movement of such teaching level, in the analyzed period.
