Abstract

The main goal of this article is to bring to the debate some challenges that are brought to the teachers, more specifically of early childhood education and elementary education, with regard to the understanding of race relations in school everyday and propose some possibilities for action. Is the result of a bibliographic search that leads us to conclude that it is necessary, in addition to giving a special attention to curricula of training courses for teachers, concern itself with the formation of those teachers who are already in service, so that they can deal with, among other things, with the racial prejudice in the classroom.
