Abstract

SECCHI, Darci. The indigenous teachers training for diversity. R. Educ. Públ. [online]. 2012, vol.21, n.46, pp.331-346. ISSN 2238-2097.

Abstract This Article deals with the profile of a new educational actor acting within the Indian villages and whose actions consolidate a new institution called indigenous school. The main argument brought into the debate concerns the contours of a reality whose plurality is not always perceived by the public authorities and communities themselves. The main elements that configure the indigenous teaching professionality are found in the training courses. In this training environment standardization of expectations, the domestication of idealizations and the assignment of meanings that defines the current profile of indigenous teachers are established.
